In 2ch, There are too many boards to choose one from drop-down list easily.
Filtering by board is not always needed to search for a thread.
It will be demanded on full text search.

全文検索でも「スレタイ検索」と「検索したい語句」の組み合わせのほうが無難かな
板をドロップダウンリストで選ぶ方式は、板が多過ぎてむちゃくちゃ使いにくい

板選択のドロップダウンメニューを改良するなら、
フォルダ名なり、ローマ字読みなり、アルファベットを前に付けたほうが良いかな
そうすればいくぶん楽に板を選ぶことができる

In Japanese, the too large drop-down list is inconvenient because we can't find items by typing the first letter.
We can easily reach these items by typing "W", for example.
"WikiLeaks"
"Windows"
"Web収入"
"Web制作管理"

However, this way doesn't work toward almost of them.
So I suggest adding folder name or romanized board name to at the beginning of Japanese item name.
The example of former is :
"bbynamazu 地震ヘッドライン"
"poverty ニュー速（嫌儲）"
"news4vip ニュー速VIP"
"livejupiter なんでも実況J"
etc.

The latter is :
"jishinheadline 地震ヘッドライン"
"nyusokukenmo ニュー速（嫌儲）"
"nyusokuvip ニュー速VIP"
"nandemojikkyoj なんでも実況J"
etc.

こちらも巡回するようにしました。

以前、Rock54登録所では、find.2ch.netを利用して未登録のNG WORDを検索していました。
未登録というのは、
ものすごい勢いで広告・宣伝を報告するスレ 235

こちらのスレッドに報告された語彙です。

そして今回、find.2ch.netがなくなりsearch.2ch.netが新たに作られるってことで、
何か良いAPIを提供いただけたらと思うのであります。
例えば、HTTP_METHOD eq 'GET'で問い合わせができたり、もしくは直接DBに接続できる方法だとか。
更にはspam assassin と連携して、自動採取なんてできるかもしれませんね。

findのサポート過去ログにたくさん上がってるが企業名とかシリーズ名みたいに
カタカナ語が２個以上組合わさって出来てるスレタイがヒットしなくなるし
カタカナの検索キーの直後に何か別のカタカナがついても検出できなくなってた

板指定の件だがttsの画面右みたいに
単に検索結果から「板で絞り込み」が一番なんじゃねえかと思った

カテゴリでの絞り込み案が上がってるがゲーム関係みたいに
いろんなカテゴリに分散しまくってる話題が存在するから（携帯電話ゲーその他）
「板一覧用のカテゴリ（基本的に１つの板は複数のカテゴリに登録されない）」をそのまま流用した場合
「検索用のカテゴリ」としては差し支えるケースが当然出てくると思われる

TOPの検索窓で板を絞り込もうとするから複雑になる。
find 2chみたいに、全部の板を更新順で並べればいい。(もちろん板名表記は必要)
板を絞り込みたい時のために、板ページに、その板内を検索できる検索窓を設置して、その板内の検索をできるようにすればいい。
これで解決だろ。

As some guys said, narrowing down board lists by search result seem good idea.
Although similar function is already equipped as "板内 Bannai" button, it will make search.2ch more convenient.

When no keyword is entered, all boards are shown in the list :
全板
119 消防・救急・防災
21oversea 危ない海外
21oversea2 大人の危ない海外
...and many threads

This is the same as until now.
When a keyword is entered and a search is done, it is narrowed down automatically.
In the list, there are only boards that appear in the total search result.
Then, users can choose boards from it easily.
Some examples by the new function are shown below.
