- Recently, 5ch has been under attack by scripters and spammers. As a counter measure, (and because 5ch management is too retarded to put a CAPTCHA on this site) non-Japanese IPs can no longer post on any board on this site.
Which means boards made for foreigners such as dejima and the embassy ("8") boards have been now rendered useless.
If you wish to post, you can try using Tuxler with the residential VPN mode. You can also try SoftEther VPN Gate and try multiple Japanese IPs until you find one that isn't already banned.
If you wish to have a good experience on 5ch just like that of an ordinary 5ch user that lives in Japan, your only choice is to buy UPLIFT, though.
I don't think most people will want to give money to the terrible owners of this site though.

Need help from Japanese people

- Hi. I'm looking for depictions of Japanese women killing american soldiers found in Japanese novels, ideally written by women. I came across stories of Japanese women preparing for a potential mainland invasion at the end of the Pacific war by training with bamboo spears 「takeyarikunren」and even training to crush testicles,、and the idea of Japanese women killing american soldiers in savage close quarter, even hand-to-hand combat was very exciting to me, and I've been obsessed with it ever since.
I've done considerable research in order to find such depictions, but found almost nothing, I have list of about 3 novels so far, one of which is a manga (I want novels or war diaries). I used bookmeter.com, honto.jp and other websites dedicated to book reviews using google search + a list of keywords, but found not much at all. I also searched through twitter (google doesn't index tweets), but didn't find much again. Finally I searched using the National Diet Library's search function, but didn't find much ; however that's because a lot of the books that might contain such scenes are not available online, or on amazon.jp, and I can't use yahoo auctions ; some of them too are simply only findable on the NDL.
I would be extremely grateful if you Japanese people could help me with this, my Japanese is ok so I was able to search for a while, but now I'm at my limit, I think.

I am currently reading The Federalist (AKA The Federalist Papers) by Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and James Madison. It's a really good read
if you enjoy American history or enjoy the philosophy behind the nation itself.
I also read Lenz by Georg Butchner recently. It's a 60 or so page novella (a German work at that) but the prose is masterfully done and it
transitions to English extremely well. It's about this dude that goes crazy while living in the mountains, and it's based off of real journals.

- 「monakey」システムをデザインしたJaneStyleの開発者が、すべての専用ブラウザへのAPIへのアクセスをオフにし、権限なしにJaneStyleをサードパーティのサイトに移動させたことにより、一部のユーザーが5chにアクセスできなくなってしまいました。そのサイトは5chとは一切関連がありません。これが、一部のユーザーが本日5chにアクセスできなかった理由です。
5chはあらゆる開発者からAPIへのアクセス権を奪ったわけではありません。まだ理由は明らかでありませんが、JaneStyleの開発者が独断で行動を起こし、5chのユーザーベースの一部を5ch.netから引き離すことを決定しました。これがダウンタイム、混乱、推測を引き起こしました。今日、私たちはこれをAPIの独占を終わらせ、意志のあるすべての開発者にAPIへのアクセスを再度提供する機会に変えるつもりです。
専用ブラウザは再び繁栄することができます。
